Position Summary: Provide an overview of the role, including job scope / responsibilities, impact, decision authority, problem solving, level of influence, etc. |
The VP of Sales role will be responsible for all aspects of promoting and selling the Rising portfolio to a specified list of customers, including meeting or exceeding sales and profitability goals, developing, and implementing customer level strategies and tactics, negotiating, and resolving business issues, and developing close customer relationships. |
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: |
• The VP of Sales will focus on selling the Rising portfolio to their account base, with an end goal of meeting or exceeding all sales goals. Must have existing relationships with customers such as Red Oak, ClarusOne and WBAD • Assist in developing and managing sales and marketing budgets • Will leverage their extensive base of close relationships and should be skilled at extending that network to new customers • Drive effective account planning & management process by identifying key influencers within the account and building relationships at the executive level • Lead the development and implementation of the account plan with a cross functional team approach, sound account strategies and tactics, and effective allocation of resources • Work closely with the Marketing and Pricing teams to share market intelligence and competitive financial analysis • Innovation/ Initiative: Collaborate and communicate across team and organization on strategy, initiatives and implementation, with ability to be creative / think “outside-the-box” and use non-traditional approaches within Rising’s ethics and compliance policies • Seek out opportunities to present or engage at industry events and/or trade shows • Assist in creating launch strategy for new products • Must be highly organized and able to manage internal and external customers with all organizations |

• Extensive experience within the GENERIC pharmaceutical industry. Sales experience preferred, with a demonstrated track record of achievement and meeting targets • Demonstrated and progressive experience in all facets of business and best practices, with strong analytical and organizational abilities |
Specialized Training or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications Needed: |

Must have a high degree of technical expertise in GENERIC pharmaceutical products and must possess a solid knowledge of feature-benefit selling |

Functional Knowledge: |
|
• An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills across multiple mediums and environments • Possesses a strong working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,and Outlook. |

Company / Industry Related Knowledge: |
|
Pharmaceutical knowledge is a plus |
