Pharmacovigilance Intern

Rising Pharma is seeking a motivated Pharmacovigilance intern who is ready to apply their knowledge of business practices in a fast-paced corporate environment. The intern will be working with the team members of Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Pharmacovigilance

Position Title:  Pharmacovigilance Intern
Department: Pharmacovigilance
Reports To: Senior Director of QA/RA
Work Location: East Brunswick, NJ

Position Summary:

Provide an overview of the role, including job scope / responsibilities, impact, decision authority, problem solving, level of influence, etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Pharmacovigilance

  • Entry of market complaints into company’s internal standard forms as per the SOP
  • Coordinate with pharmacovigilance service provider along with CMOs for adverse event case processing and archival request of product complaints and product inquiries
  • Communicate with application holders (ANDA) regarding the adverse events, product complaints and product inquiries in a timely manner as per the company’s internal process
  • Follow up with application holders (ANDA) regarding the adverse events, product complaints and product inquiries for closure of the market complaints as per the company’s policy
  • Archival of every case into the Market Complaints Register
  • Coordinate with customers to retrieve product complaint samples in a timely manner and replacement of the sample as applicable
  • Coordinate all postage related activities (UPS/FEDEX) for product sample retrieval/replacement of product from/to customer in a timely manner
  • Assist with any other duties or various projects as needed by the department
  • Handle phone-calls from Healthcare Professionals, patients/customers, etc. regarding company marketed products

Job Specific Competencies:

  • Must have strong computer skills including experience in MS Word, Outlook, and working with databases, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet pre-determined deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, technical writing, and excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation practices/skills
  • Ability to enter large quantities of data with a high degree of quality
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
