Inventory Control Analyst

The inventory control analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring inventory records are accurate through regular counts and recognizing and resolving inventory discrepancies

Position Title: Inventory Control Analyst
Department: Supply and Customer Service
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Work Location: Somerset, NJ

Position Summary:

Provide an overview of the role, including job scope/responsibilities, impact, decision authority, problem-solving, level of influence, etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Rising owned ANDAs

• Write and implement procedures for inventory counting, adjustments, scrapping, and returned product
• Assess and monitor warehouse transactions that affect inventory
• Identify root causes of repeat errors and develop corrective actions.
• Act as liaison between the warehouse and customer service or other supply chain departments
• Summarize and report KPIs or metrics
• Ensure that inventory is available to satisfy customer orders and ready for use.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures
• Work with other teams including customer service, order management, and supply chain
• Partner with Finance to coordinate physical inventories and address audit concerns
• Ensure that inventory counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner.
• Audit the facility’s entire inventory on a regular basis and provide reports to management
• Train other employees in cycle counting and inventory control
• Instruct others on handling damaged goods
• Maintain segregated areas for damaged, expired or returned goods

Position Requirements:

Education:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
Specialized Training or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications Needed:
SAP or other WMS/inventory system knowledge.
Company / Industry Related Knowledge:
Pharmaceutical experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Respond to visual and audible warning indicators.
  • Work around moving equipment.
  • Wear specialized protective clothing (shoes, glasses).
  • Stand up to 5-6 hours.
  • Sit up to 1-2 hours.
  • Lift up to 35 lbs.
